Bylaws & Member Agreement

With a focus on collaboration and mutual support, the Professionals Club of Havasu's mission is to empower members to exchange opportunities and thrive professionally. Beyond business, we aim to contribute to the betterment of our community through impactful projects and initiatives.

Primary Category

  • Each member business shall designate one primary category that represents the main service or industry they wish to promote within the Club.

Application Requirement

  • No category shall be considered reserved, claimed, or assigned without a completed application submitted to the Club.
  • Verbal interest, informal discussions, or expressions of intent shall not constitute an application.

Competing Applications

  • If multiple qualified applicants seek the same available category, the membership shall review all completed applications and determine by majority vote which applicant would provide the greatest benefit to the Club and its members.

Evaluation Criteria

  • When reviewing competing applications, members may consider factors including:
  • Professional reputation
  • Alignment with the Club's mission and culture
  • Potential value and contribution to the membership
  • Ability to support the growth and success of fellow members
  • While many businesses offer multiple services, membership protects only the designated primary category / referral focus and does not prevent other members from joining under different categories. Industry categories are determined by the group to maintain fairness and avoid overlap. As the group grows, categories may be refined, clarified and voted on to ensure each member has a clear and distinct primary category.

Attendance Commitment

  • Members/representatives of your business must attend and be present for the entire meeting — including introductions, presentations and/or activities — for 9 of 12 meetings per calendar year to maintain active membership status.
  • Special exceptions may be requested by the steering committee within reason.

Hosting Meetings

  • Members are welcome to host monthly meetings at their location during their company spotlight.

Mutual Support

  • Members refer and support each other professionally when opportunities arise.

Grievances

  • Any member may submit a grievance if an issue arises that affects the professionalism, trust, or integrity of the group.

Examples of valid grievances:

  • Conduct that reflects poorly on the group or damages trust among members
  • Disrespectful or unprofessional behavior toward other members
  • Violating the "one business per category" understanding or actively competing within the group

Community Initiatives

  • Members must participate in any community initiatives.

Guests

  • Guests are welcome to attend with prior approval to ensure there are no conflicts of service, products, or industry.
  • Guests must attend two consecutive meetings before membership is approved.

Bylaw Changes

  • New bylaws will be voted on by members only via email.

One Business Per Category

These bylaws exist to protect the trust and exclusivity that make The Professionals Club of Havasu work. When every member holds a clear, non-competing seat, referrals flow freely and every business in the room grows together.
